Experimental determination of caterpillar traction during rolling on the water surface

The article describes the rolling conditions of caterpillar systems with grousers on water. The authors simulated this phenomenon and obtained the dependence of draught and bearing capacity of wheel systems on the Froude number, and present the dependence of caterpillar traction on a dimensionless parameter equal to the ratio of absolute speeds of the lower part of the caterpillar and the surface part of the model.

Mathematical methods in distribution optimization of grain freight flows directed to small ports of the Azov-Black Sea basin

Within the framework of the egalitarian concept, a comprehensive approach has been developed in welfare theory in finding rational schemes for the distribution of freight flows in a multimodal transport and technological system. The authors propose an optimization model of a regional freight transportation process, and its mathematical implementation is an integer programming problem solved with a computer algebra system.
