Justification of application of solid cylinder decomposition scheme into equivalent plate for thermal calculations in case of wheelset axle neck surfacing

The authors determined the boundary conditions for using the solid cylinder decomposition scheme into an equivalent plate when calculating thermal fields for restoring the axle boxes of car axles of wheelsets. The calculation of temperature fields spread by the action of a single ring element was carried out. The possibility of applying a given solid cylinder decomposition scheme into an equivalent plate for thermal calculations is justified.

Resource calculation of reinforced concrete sleepers and ballast of railway track based on modelling

The authors propose the models describing their deformation changes with a resource estimation based on the data obtained during the actual operation of sleepers and ballast of the railway track. The reinforced concrete sleeper is presented as a composite material with features caused by the joint operation of reinforcement and concrete and strain anisotropy.
Keywords: railway track, modelling, concrete, sleeper, ballast, resource, deformation

Optimization of approach time of liquefied natural gas tanker to confined water entrance according to minimum loss criterion

The article presents the method of optimal timing of approach of the liquefied natural gas tanker (LNG-tanker) to the entrant point into the confined waters according to the criterion of minimum losses from the downtime of the liquefied natural gas carrier and the evaporation of liquefied natural gas from the liquefied natural gas plant reservoirs. The method is based on the method of optimum nominal value and is recommended for use in automated systems for controlling the transportation of liquefied natural gas.
