Application of simulation in transportation hub operation

The modelling is the main method of research in many fields of knowledge and a science-based assessment method of the characteristics of complex systems, transport complex systems, to support decision-making in various areas of activity. The author proposes the use cases of the simulation modelling in the transportation hub operation and the planning of short-/medium- and long-term development of transportation hub, as well as the software selection criteria for the simulation of passenger flows at the micro-level.

Tank swaying oscillation subject to liquid cargo dynamics

The authors consider the liquid cargo transverse dynamics at the swaying oscillations. In the case where the tank car carries the liquid load, the car body oscillations directly affect the liquid inside the tank boiler, the liquid affects the boiler walls, and it affects the overall transverse dynamics of the car.

Method for determining the holding capacity of obstructing equipment ensuring the safety of the breaking-up of trains

The use of "barrier groups" of cars is considered to ensure the marshalling process safety - to prevent the rolling stock from going beyond the effective length of the hump yard tracks. The authors have developed a method for determining the holding capacity and the value of the "barrier group" using the energy conservation law and have investigated the main factors influencing the value and norms of "barrier groups" anchoring.

Research and development of transport and logistics infrastructure of industrial enterprise on the example of "KuibyshevAzot" PJSC

The growth of industrial production requires the development of transport infrastructure of enterprises. The article uses the example of a specific enterprise to consider an integrated approach to the development of infrastructure and the improvement of the industrial transport system technology: the identification of the bottlenecks based on the modelling; the analysis of economic losses and sources of effect; the development of basic technical and technological solutions.

Optimization of train turnover to provide train path allocation of suburban traffic

The article deals with the problem of the best use of trains in the suburban train schedule. A strict optimization model is given. The model is implemented for the Nizhny Novgorod agglomeration. The article also shows the optimization stages and the results of the model.

Implementation of dynamic programming with effective conversion in the on-board system

It is known that when modelling the train movement process detailing gives more accurate results of traction calculations. The "Traction Rolling Stock" chair developed an algorithm based on the Bellman's principle of optimality, without using Lagrange multipliers, even taking into account the train running time.
