It is well-known that the rolling stock electric supply system relies on a storage battery at a low speed (0-40 km/h). Taking into account that 50% of the train route corresponds to the speed of 15-25 km/h, the problem of nominal voltage generation at low speed becomes urgent. The traditional approach lies only within the field forcing.
The paper is concerned with a new approach to evaluation of the rational level of thermal protection of buildings based on the analysis of the whole complex of factors as a single energy system. The experimental results for establishing practical level of thermal protection of the building enclosure are presented.
The analysis of a standard construction electromagnetic transformer of back-and-forth motion is presented in the paper. The improvement in efficiency is developed due to removal of the drawbacks revealed by the analysis.
The paper is concerned with a problem of power imputs reduction for mounting the resistance occurring in the small radius curves passed by a locomotive truck and also a coupled problem of reducing the wearing level of the wheel flanges. The dependence relating the force of lateral pressure of the wheel flange on the rail and the variation of the longitudinal axe of a truck and the associated wheel pairs, is investigated.
