On the issue of reliability of Ermak Electric Locomotives during their Operation at Eastern Polygon of JSC Russian Railways

The main issues related to the organisation quality of operation and maintenance of Ermak electric locomotives during the locomotive fleet replacement are considered. The workload of freight mainline electric locomotives is determined depending on the series. The authors give the ratios of the growth rate of failures by type of equipment when putting into operation the new electric locomotives. Organisational and technical measures are proposed to reduce the number of failures.
