Reliability of Electric Locomotive Traction Motors at Eastern Polygon

The authors have established the intensive nature of the reducing the reliability of traction electric motors of VL80 and VL85 freight electric locomotives long-term operated on the railways of the Eastern Polygon and 2,3,4ES5K electric locomotives recently received from the manufacturing plant. This makes it possible to identify the weakest units of traction electric motors, the dominant cause for reducing their reliability, and to rationally manage the provision process of their maximum possible failure-free operation.

Reinforcement Scheme Development of Reinforced Concrete Base Plate for Urban Transport taking into account Anisotropic Properties and Wave Processes

The behaviour of the base plate of the ballastless track under dynamic impact has been simulated. It is this design that is currently one of the most promising. For this construction, a plate segment reinforcement scheme is being developed consisting of local meshes with circular rods under the rail support zone on an under rail base and a common volumetric frame calculated by traditional methods.

Application of Decision Tree Method when Forming Fleet for Perishable Freight Transportation

The article proposes the use of the decision tree method in the process of organizing of perishable freight transportation by land transport. The estimation of the technological potential of various types of isothermal vehicles was given. The authors justify and give arguments of the sequence of steps in the process of choosing the fleet composition of isothermal vehicles in the format of the decision tree method.

Improving Dynamic Performance of Electric Vehicle by Using Multiple-Speed Gearbox

Most vehicles are equipped with internal combustion engines which negatively affects the environmental situation. An alternative solution to this problem is the use of electric vehicles (EV). As a result, it becomes relevant to conduct studies to improve the EV operational properties. The paper considers the influence of the use of the gearbox in the EV transmission on its dynamic characteristic.
